Why did you chose to peruse a career in game development?

For me i love technology! I think its fascinating, what we have created as a species and what things we can eventually create. I wanted to learn a technical skill but i felt A LOT of the jobs were becoming obsolete due to our own capabilities at making machines to do our jobs. Ironic that isn't it. Anyway, i wanted to study programming but i wanted to be able to use my imagination and thought game programming would be a good fit as i was able to get technical but as well as being able to let my imagination run wild.
So why did you chose to get into game development?

Honestly I still didn't properly choose a game development career.
I have been working as a professional front end developer for 10 years, but I remember that when my first employer asked me what I really wanted as a developer in the interview I answered "I want to make games".
One thing that I always thought about videogames development is that it is the most complete environment you can be in, in a developer point of view.
You need to address performance, memory management, networking, multi-threading, security, human-computer interaction, DSP (Digital Signal Processing or "sound generation"), physics, advanced math all of this with an attention to design, beauty, keeping it interesting for the player.
I always wanted to dive into game development because there are a lot of things to learn and I love learning, a lot of things to know and I want to master them all!
